First week of our writing session...

Hello everyone,

I hope and trust you are all well and good when this note reaches y'all .

2009 eh - what happened? As usual time is flying by at an unbelievable rate, I can’t keep up. One minute it was 2004 and we were releasing a Greatest Hits - next its 2009 and our 7th studio album (9 if you count 2 'Greatest Hits', 10 if you count 'The Collection', 11 'The Big Day'... I'll stop there as you guys will probably know more than me and point out a few things that I've forgot about..!)

That's us finished the 1st week of our writing session (some new photos in the gallery)... Only 2 yrs to go until its ready then. Seriously - who knows how long and we are only 2 songs started. Marti is on his other gig just now, so we can only start songs - we can’t really finish them until his time isn't so intense with the WOE.

It’s always great to get a start and although we had been sending around mp3's, it's better to be in a room with the instruments in our hands.......than to be playing with ourselves!!

I'll keep you posted on when we reconvene - its looking like March will be a busy month with a few sessions booked in so far.

I am holding a Wet Wet Wet Convention on August 15th 2009 at the Tallship. Raising money for Childline. I recently done Marti a DVD and let Marti know too, when I met Marti last week in Milton Keynes on a DVD I did.

I am really excited about your new album, I know it will take quite a while, (especially with Marti being so busy at the mo),  but it will be worth waiting for however long it takes.  Maybe we could have just a little gig in between all the writing, cos you know, we would all love that. Also it would do you all good , just to see us all. Don't you think?

I'm off to see Marti in Bristol, on his birthday, so i'm really excited, and with your news as well, i feel on top of the world. Thankyou and good luck with the writing.

And you are right, time flies by... now I realize that it´s been almost 20 years since I first listened to Sweet Surrender on the radio and I fell in love with your music. I tell you that it was not always easy to get your first records here but the search and waiting was worth it!

Don’t be letting that Marti slack off now, parading around the country chasing the witches when you three need him closed up in the studio. Get him telt, to get his wee backside in and start yodelling.
