Wet Wet Wet

Not sure if I should have started a new topic for each suggestion but as they are related to the forum, I thought I would put them together.

1.  A separate gallery forum so that fans can post their own pictures, maybe one gallery for Wet Wet Wet related pictures and one for personal ones that they would like to show to each other.  I think it would be nice to have all of the pictures together like that instead of them getting lost in threads on the chat forums.  This a Marti Chat Group we used to have with a picture forum that we could post our own pictures on.

2.  A Questions & Answers forum where we can ask the boys things we would like to know, (keeping it clean of course).  I think if we do have this, a rule could be made that once someone asks a question then nobody else replies, it has to be down to someone official, as in one of the boys or management, otherwise it could get a bit difficult for the boys to follow the questions if they have to wade through loads of fans replies.

3.  A separate 'Off Topic' forum, and the 'Fun & Games' with a forum of its own.  You sometimes get an interesting subject being brought up on 'off topic', then it immediately gets lost by all the games that are added.  I am not criticising the Games section, I think its great fun but it should be kept separate from ordinary off topic posts.

That's it for me, I will leave it to others to make some more suggestions, I am sure we have lots.

I thought the chit chat forum was off topic now as there is now already a seperate fun and games forum.

I think Chit Chat is what was previously the General Chat forum, i.e. topics of general interest to the community but including anything about Marti's solo career, so separate from what was Totally Off Topic, which is now Fun & Games.

Thanks for posting that link Debbie, I didn't check to see if it had worked properly. 

I did wonder about the Chit Chat forum Nicola, but I took it the same way as Debbie, its the old General Chat forum, I just think its sad when some threads get lost amongst the games etc., it would be nice to have both, I think it would make it simpler.

I think maybe we have to think about it 'the other way round' so to speak.  The Fun and Games forum is now very much specific - for all the chains and other things like that - and Chit Chat is more a generic topic for anything and everything else that isn't covered by Fun and Games?

Alternatively, what about having a generic Music forum, which would then include stuff about Marti's solo dealings and then would also be able to include any music-related threads, leaving Chit Chat for non-game playing general threads?  Or is that just even more confusing than before???  Lol.

Yeah I see what you mean about Chit Chat Kat, (oh that ryhmes ) but as for the Marti thing, I really think they could have a Marti only forum, everyone accepts he has a solo career and I am sure relations are very good between him, the band and management, so why not allow him to have his own forum as his own website is nothing more than useless.

Thanks Nico, the main reason why I didn't think it appropriate to lump off topic subjects in with fun and games is because sometimes people post serious things, maybe bad news or whatever, and it doesn't seem right to have those threads posted in with fun and games, hope you understand what I mean.

I also think that a separate forum just for Marti's solo work would be a good idea.

Also, how about 'Off Topic Discussion' and 'Off Topic Games' so that the discussion threads don't get lost?

I suppose it depends how many forums we want.

Thanks for being patient and trying to sort this out, it must be a nightmare trying to please everyone. 

I can't really see a problem with having a fun and games forum and an off topic forum, to be honest not everyone plays the games so for those who want to, they have their own forum.  If you put off topic in with Chit Chat it is going to become pretty overcrowded, especially when you consider that is where we are meant to discuss Marti things, it doesn't seem right to have him in off topic subjects, unless of course we get our own Marti forum, what does everyone else think?

I too had been wondering if there may have been a separate forum for Marti, given that he has a solo career and whether working with the band or on his own projects, will still have the WWW connection.

On the previous forum we had the general chat section but it never seemed right to be discussing him there. In this new environment there is the possibility of using Music Is All Around or Chit Chat (similar to general chat), but again he doesn't really fit into either, as he is part of the Wets.

Maybe it was agreed to avoid singling out any particular member(s) which I can understand. However, what about a forum which covered all solo careers, for any member of the band. It could always be called Broke Away ! This could then cover some of the band members who participate in the production or songwriting world outwith the Wets, as well as catering for Marti's solo career. It could even still be lumped into the Wet Wet Wet section of the boards, as it's still band related.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this ?
