I think you can probably use any of those although I'm not sure - definitely jpg.

As I mentioned in reply to a previous enquiry in this thread, if you host your pic on the Image Shack site, it says on that site:

allowed: jpg jpeg png gif bmp tif tiff swf < 1.5 megabytes.
