I'm getting there with football and it is good to have a Scottish team in the UEFA cup final.

Now can you just let  my team Queen of the South win the Scottish Cup Final since two trophie at (at least) in a season would be greed wouldn't you agree

anyway nice to hear from you

    Just found this:

    Wets Back A Win

    The Road To Manchester

WET Wet Wet bassist Graeme Clark knew on Friday he had tickets and is going to the match with keyboard player Neil Mitchell and manager Dougie Souness.

He said: "It's like Christmas come early. I don't care how we got there, winning ugly or not. Just go and do us proud and give the Rangers fans in Manchester a night to remember."

    Re: EXTRA...TIMELESS!

    WWW-HQ:

    Dear all,

Hope you are all well...it’s been a long time but unfortunately there has been nothing to tell you, until now that is. Glasgow Rangers have made it into the UEFA Cup Final and are making history for Scotland.

Let’s start by looking at the astonishing achievements of the team and the management. To beat Fiorentina in penalties in Florence was simply stunning. I feel for Fiorentina, but it’s always easier to be compassionate when you win! In this day and age of multi million pound wages and leagues swimming in the sort of money that could solve third world debt, a Scottish team getting into the last 16 or the last 8 is an achievement in itself but to get to a European Final is nothing short of unbelievable. I'm still coming to terms with the magnitude of what this team has achieved. Also, a lot has been made of how we got to the final but I remember in the last round against Sporting with Rangers playing sharp football and Whittaker dancing round 3 or 4 players and scoring a memorable goal, worthy of any game anywhere in the world. Had Chelsea, Liverpool or Man U. scored that goal then maybe things would be viewed differently.

Already my phone is ringing of the hook with friends and family, old and new, wondering if I have any sort of contact that could maybe get that precious bit of paper that admits them into a place in history - that will allow them to dine out for years to come, on that night in Manchester and expressing to anyone who will listen, how it felt to be a Glaswegian Rangers fan.

I remember the European campaign of 1992. We had just played the Albert Hall the night before Rangers went to Leeds in the 2nd leg, which would see the winners qualify for the first Champions League. We were 2-1 up from the home leg and Rangers fans were barred from Elland Road, as Leeds fans had been barred from Ibrox. We had Gary Speed sorting our tickets for Elland Road. Big Mark Hately scored in the first couple of minutes, just then, right in front of us a couple of bears jumped up and cheered, much to the disgust of the Leeds fans that surrounded us, suddenly Elland Road felt like a really bad idea, the wrong place at the wrong time, but we survived and looking back it was very much the right place at the right time. We were there, we saw, we beat the English Champions..... sweet.

It’s no different here and I’ll be there, at the Final!

Congratulations to everyone associated with Rangers on this historic achievement.

    Back Soon

    Love Graeme xxx

    Re: EXTRA...TIMELESS!

Couldn't agree with you more GC! I was there on Wednesday to salute the players, welcome the finalists back to Ibrox. Another win and a step closer to the quad! For there's not a team like the Glasgow Rangers, no not one and there never shall be one!

The goal by Whittiker was class, his game continues to improve, a very versatile player! I was at the home leg of the Sporting Lisbon game and even then we looked the better side at a 0-0 draw. No one can doubt Watty knows his tactics.

If we win nothing this season (apart from the already bagged League cup) then I will still follow on because from where we have come since last year Smith has shown how amazing a manager he is and what a great team we are building. The money some have spent, even in Scotland - 3 million for Donati - shows that money means nothing when you have team spirit and a genius for a manager.

Anyway, I hope everyone in Scotland does genuinely get behind Glasgow Rangers. After all they are helping Scotland as well as themselves. Thanks to the mighty Rangers the winner of the SPL (most likely Rangers) will go straight thru to the group stages of the Champions League. It means money for the club and a better chance of qualification.

     Follow, follow!

Continuing to stalk Neil up and down the M1. Baby! Oh yeah! Still watching Clarkey's gorgeous tight little bottom! Classic SSS saying -"See you in the toilets....5 minutes!"

    Re: EXTRA...TIMELESS!

Well you've even got me watching it - and I'm supporting Rangers of course - but I've been sat on the edge of my seat, sadly the ball has just gone in the net at the wrong end, so two from the blues in quick succession would be good please.

Come tell me all about it!

    Re: EXTRA...TIMELESS!

The whole evening I didn't watch the game (because of Peking Express a popular Dutch tv program) although I was curious. Then I finally switched to football and within 10 seconds I saw the goal for Zenith.... [:'(] I wish I didn't watch......Zenith has a Dutch coach (*** Advocaat), but I'm for the Rangers....

    Come boys!!

    Re: EXTRA...TIMELESS!

It appears that the first name of the Dutch coach is marked as *** hihihi in my posting, while it is a typically Dutch name Wink

Commiserations to Rangers Sad What a shame. They put on a good performance despite the end result! Wink
