    Time Lag

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or has experienced a similar problem, but when im on the posting page, there is a time lag when im typing so the screen is about a character behind what i am writing.

Also if I make a mistake and need to delete, the screen will be a character or so behind. And when I finish and press 'Post' it doesnt happen straight away like the old forum. Last night when i was posting i didnt think I had clicked the button properly, and ended up double clicking and got a message to say duplicate posts are not permitted. I thought i had lost what i had typed but it was posted!

It may be a bit of a minor niggle, but Im finding posting a bit of a chore!

    Re: Time Lag

There is also a bit of a time lag on the front page, when looking at each forum to see the time & author of the last post in each. Occasionally, especially if I thread is moving fast, when I have opened the thread up there are additional posts there from after the time stated on the front page. Sounds like the forum doesn't have the front page refreshed quick enough at times.
Is it just a dream?, or am I just a dreamer.
It's all in a dream ... but This Moment is OK

    Re: Time Lag

I have this trouble aswell. I have had the message I am not allowed to duplicate posts many times. Also I have noticed when I have posted my name doesn't show up as last one who has posted for quite a few mins. Also the time when people have posted annoys me the way its in hours and mins, I like to see exact time, although this does happen to the post the day after.

    Re: Time Lag

It also seems to take the smileys quite a while to come up when you want to use them but this is just a minor niggle.  Wink

(The smiley box is actually coming up quite quickly at the moment, just when I think to post about it Confused, but it doesn't seem to usually).

    Re: Time Lag

The main forum page can take a few minutes to update to the last post. Like with making edits to your profile, it can just take a short time to refresh and update the servers.

Sorry about this, but the delay should never be too long.

As for double posting, if the system is moving a bit slowly, no need to press Post more than once. If you've pressed it, it will post.

If anyone is still finding something to be very slow, please let me know your location, type of Internet (dial-up, DSL, etc.), browser and operating system. Thanks!
