    FoolsGold:

Unless she has some real secret inside information, I read Wil's post and decided that it doesn't say 100% that there will not be anything going on in the Summer - just that she doesn't think there would be anything.

I am glad someone got to ask Dougie and he told them Smile . Although my source is 100% reliable Big Smile (I would not have said anything if it wasn't) I didn't want to get anyone into trouble for telling me but I couldn't keep it to myself and not tell the fans on here because they needed to know a.s.a.p. in my opinion Wink .

If Wil tells us some news, we can all take it as Gospel, that that WILL be the truth.

    I wasn't doubting it wasn't the truth.

Just noticed that there was a glimmer, albeit a very little glimmer, of possible hope in her message Wink

I suppose that makes it more official Sad

However, my foreseeable future only goes up to next Tuesday, so in my world they could play a gig next Saturday Big Smile

Karl - your foreseeable future is short!!  Sadly - it's true though the forseeable future is way way beyond next Tuesday!!  Sorry if I have dashed all your hopes there - and everyone elses.

Come tell me all about it!

Thanks Debbie,  for posting the article about
Marti's concert at the Sage in Newcastle - I hadn't seen that one before.  A very good one I thought.

I am sure they could sign up to something, have a few days of rehearsals and play a gig or two.

There appears to be some headlining slots available now:

You never know, the Wets could fill these now free events.

    Fingers and toes crossed

    Karl

P.S. Has anyone actually asked Marti when they have met him during his tour?

I love your optimism Karl! I'm with you!

Continuing to stalk Neil up and down the M1. Baby! Oh yeah! Still watching Clarkey's gorgeous tight little bottom! Classic SSS saying -"See you in the toilets....5 minutes!"

    Re: The Summer Gigs

I was watching peter and jordan on tv the other night when peter mentioned that he was going to be appearing in a retro concert with bands from the 80's in Scotland.  The only thing i did'nt catch was when it was happening or as it already happened?.

Could this be that summer gig?  Lets hope so.

    Did anyone else watch it?

    Re: The Summer Gigs

This is happening @ Strathclyde Park in Glasgow on 30th and 31st of August so it is already within Marti's WOE run. I'm going to get tickets for this with my brother and sis in law. The line up is fab it's going to be hard to choose between Saturday and Sunday.

    Re: The Summer Gigs

Unfortunately, as much as I would love to go and see them play again very soon, I don't think this "Retrofest" is their bag.

They have stated in the past that they don't want to part of the 80's nostalgia merry go-around - and this was one of the reasons why they decided to move forward and write new material.

I wasn't after a retrofest gig Karl! the guys have so much great stuff now past and present, that they would not have to try too hard to put a few tunes 2gether. I'm as much against a retro fest as the next Wettie hun, just 1 gig a year would keep most of us hapy lol!!
