    Hi All

Any1 watching Nelson Mandela? I remember the one from 1988 @ Wembley Stadium. I remember Wet Wet Wet performing Wishing I Was Lucky and Marti performing with Tony of Aswad.. Its ashame they are not taking part this time. But been watching since 9pm, live from Hyde Park. It began 6.30pm but first few hours not televised.

    Love

Yeah, I watched it right through from the start until the end at 11 pm.

NOT a brilliant concert imho, but for me the highlights were Amy Winehouse, Queen with Paul Rodgers, and Simple Minds. I must also give a mention to Leona Lewis, who although still a novice at this sort of thing, sang beautifully,.and when interviewed backstage, she came across as as as young person who has stamina, commitment, and most of all, a superstar in the making methinx!.

I watched it too for a bit and it was a shame Marti and the guys didn't do it last night as i remember when they did it at Wembley stadium in 1988. last night they did show a bit of the 1988 one but they didn't show who was on the stage they just showed the crowd from that gig. don't worry  i am sure the guys will get the chance to do other big gigs like this in the future.

    Re: Nelson Mandela

Didn't see much of the show last night but did see Amy Winehouse sing(?) one song, Sorry but I have to disagree, I thought she was dreadful, I really like some of her songs and think she has a great voice but on that show singing live, I thought she sounded awful! She mumbled the words and looked terrible. I think she should rush back to hospital and get the help she obviously needs!!!

    Rant over, SORRY!!!!
