    bumpthump's wife

Hi guys. You don't know me as such, but some of you will know my other half already from the forum (bumpthump). He took me on a 7 concert tour for my birthday and what an amazing time we had. Got to meet a few of you along the way, which was really nice. The most amazing part of it though was when I got on the flight back from Belfast to find that the person who sat down in the seat right in front of me was Marti Pellow. That was when I felt like a star struck teenager all over again!

Welcome to the forum. Seven gigs. Lucky you.

You are not alone in going to jelly in front of the Werts  I felt the same when I met the Wets at Zavvi in November. i felt 14 years old again! My ambition for hen i meet them next is to have an intelligent meaningful conversation with them!

Not only Marti was there Philly but the whole band Big Smile. It was really funny because me and my Dutch friends were talking about it when we got on our flight but thought they would never be on the same flight as us.

On the plane I was sat next to the window and was texting just before I had to turn my phone off when I heard my friend say....Hello Graeme. I looked at her with a smile (thinking she was pulling my leg) and said...YEAH RIGHT, very funny. Then I looked up and there was GD looking at me smilling saying "hi Wil". Then Neil and GC walked past us, Tommy sat in front and so did Dougie S. and then Marti came walking past us. We were like teenages aswell giggeling the whole why to Glasgow.

When arriving at Glasgow airport I talked to GD and he said that was the only flight from Belfast to Glasgow that day. Well how lucky did we feel, that was such a extra treat.

cause everytime you go away, you take a piece of me with you.

    Aaarrrrgh!!!
(to use a well known comic phrase)

Not only do you get to see the Wets in 7 gigs, you also get to go on the same plane as them!!!

    Am I jealous?  YEEEEEES!!!!
Good for you though (she gnasches, in order to try to feel joy for someone else).

Seriously... I hope and know that you enjoyed it all! Congrats!

    Re: bumpthump's wife

Thanks for that. If I'm honest, I never imagined that I would enjoy it as much as I did. I had actually wanted to go to New York for my birthday, but I can go there anytime. Our Wet Wet Wet trip is something that I will remember forever. Getting to meet and chat to the band was the icing on the cake. Bumpy did good. It was simply fantastic!

    Re: bumpthump's wife

He told me beforehand.  As you probably already know he is pretty good with the written word and so he wrote about me being immersed in water 3 times and it would be all over the NEWS. I had to guess what it all meant. Obviously immersed in water 3 times translated as Wet Wet Wet and NEWS was Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland.

Thanx Nicola. He gets it wrong sometimes, but when he gets it right, it's usually spectacularly good.

Cant believe you do anything wrong,

You sound brill, wish my other half would even think about doing something a special as what you did for your wife.  She is a lucky lady, sounds like you had some very tirering days and nights but its got to be worth it.

    Special memories
