    Glasgow Green Documentry

Silky Sticks has put more video clips on their website.  There is a very good documentry on Glasgow Green. i reember it well as it was one of the first things i taped after my obsession with the Wets started. Is there anyone on here that was interviewed in it dodgy perms and all. Plus there is a cameo from GD's daughter looking very young!

Is it me or is it the light but look at the clip of Clarky in  in the first video. he's talking about the album on his own. is that the start of a grey streak in his hair at th front??

Surely not he was only 24!!

    Enjoy

    Re: Glasgow Green Documentry

Really really enjoyed that. Thought that the band came over really well, as sometimes, looking back across the years like that can be a cringeworthy experience........and this wasn't. There was a couple of really interesting things for me. Firstly, when GC mentioins near the end that "some people might see us as a sh1tty wee pop band". Well, I think the the material, the musicianship, and the intervening 19 years (gulp) have proved that those who thought that way were very very wrong. Secondly for me, on another thread, there was a wee heated debate as to whether or not MP had "lost" some of his vocal qualitiies. On the evidence of this documentary, and the Timeless tour, it's blindingly obvious that the opposite is true. The man now possesses a far more polished voice than he did as a youngster. He is capable of far more musical involvement now than he was back then. Now, one day, yeah, it might well slip.......but that day ain't here yet.......and to my ears, it's nowhere on the horizon. He remains at the top of his game, and that puts him miles ahead of most vocalists out there. There remains precious few who can hang onto his coat tails. Oh, and as a band.......they are sooooo much tighter now.

Yeah that was great to see you can clearly see the skills and enthousiasm the band performs on and off the stage, people who think bad of the band should watch this documantary, so early in their career and so musically developped! fantastic.

That was great!  Never seen it before.

Like GC said near the end - if people went to see them they would see that they are "a top notch international band".

Hear Hear!  They get better everytime I see them too.

That was fab!!! Never seen it before. Love to see them looking so young, and nice to see how kind the years have been to them all too.
