The first of the 3 gigs to be announced for 2005 - Liverpool Pops, was released just a few days after Marti finished in Chicago at the Edinburgh Playhouse, which was 19th March.
Is it just a dream?, or am I just a dreamer.
It's all in a dream ... but This Moment is OK

    Hi,

I am sure it will be soon! Newmarket was announced just after I booked my holiday to Ireland last year so I won't be getting caught out like that again!

Some of the acts have already been announced for this years Summer Pops as Deacon Blue are playing again sometime in July.

The Forestry Commission's gigs seem to be popular too and seem to be getting booked up with different bands already this year i.e Dalby Forest, Delamere etc.

Janet - it would be great if they came to Dalby Forest, not too far to travel Smile

Caroline - Dalby would be great but I think most of the line up for this summer is now announced.

Harewood House or York Racecourse would be lovely!! Party!!!

I'm with you on Harewood Janet - although I believe two acts have already been announced for different dates - Eric Clapton - and Girls Aloud, but I think they usually have about three.  Fingers crossed. (Preferably all seated as I have an old injury causing a dodgy knee which has suddenly flared up).

Come tell me all about it!

    Re: The Summer Gigs

I would love to see them at the new Liverpool Echo Arena, what with Liverpool being "the capital of culture" this year. Marti even said he would like to play there when I spoke to him at the Glasgow signing!!!

    Re: The Summer Gigs

    Hi all

Hope its not long before they announce this date?  Knowing my look it will be when im on my hols in June.  I hope if its an open air gig we get some good weather, and  not like the crap weather we had last year!

I know i,m going off the summer gig subject but do any of the blokes out there get any flak off there workmates because they like the Wets?  I tend to get a bit but I could not care less,  theres not many bands out there who are still going after 20 years and can still write good songs and still sell out concerts.

Anyway off now to read my 4 year old daughter a bedtime story.

    Take care all.Steve K
