    Recent Posts

On the old forum there was a page we could link to for Recent Posts, which I found an invaluable tool.

I know on here there is a page to view active threads as well as a table with the last 10 current threads which is along the same lines. However with either of these you then need to go into each thread individually to read the posts. The table on the front page is good for that, if you just want to jump into a single thread. Previously the recent post page brought up a list of each post also with a link to the full thread.

Maybe that's not possible within this new forum as it seems to be more 'thread' based but I thought it was an ideal way to have a quick look through the recent posts all on the one page (whether already read or otherwise).

    Hope that makes sense.Tongue Tied

    Re: Recent Posts

Think I'm with Jo on this one.....On the old forum I found it very useful to know which were the new posts since I'd last been on......On this forum I'm having to look at the dates,  unless there is an icon that says new post and I've just not seen it (If there is, would some kind person point me in the right direction?)  .......Still getting used to this forum I'm afraid......

    Re: Recent Posts

I am finding it a bit difficult to see new posts, although I have just discovered the way to see if there is a new post in a particular thread, down the left hand side of the page the little icon at the side looks blue, but when it has been read it turns white, I never noticed that at first.  Confused

I actually preferred the old forum for ease of use, I don't think this one is as user friendly, I thought maybe it would just need time, but after a week I don't feel any more comfortable with it.  I also still don't like the fact that Chit Chat seems to be off topic now, and that is where we are meant to discuss solo projects, Marti 'Off Topic', no way, I really love Jo's suggestion in the All I Want forum, under 'suggestions', nice one Jo.  Big Smile
