    Temporary Diary Thread

As we haven't got a diary of any sort on here I wondered if we could have a separate diary thread made a sticky with a list of tv and radio appearances etc, it could be updated as the info is found.  It would be much easier to find everything in one place instead of having to go through all of the topics to find info you need.  I try to write things down as they come up, but with so much happening I am finding it difficult.  I don't mean a thread for everyone to put answers, just one message which could possibly be updated by the moderators to keep everything tidy, I don't know if you can lock it so users can't post on it, but the mods can still update it?

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

I'm behind you 100% on that one Laureen.  Because I'm only jumping in and out of here I'm missing some of the important threads, plus I find it difficult to navigate the topics as often the thread I see showing which has a reply to is half way down the page of the topic if you see what I mean, so a temporary diary topic just detailing the events, and locked off would be brill for me.

Come tell me all about it!

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

That's a good idea . It would be a lot better than all the post it notes I've got stuck on my fridge !

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

I agree, it would be a great idea.  It can be quite confusing when the topic titles don't necessarily have the programme (or paper) and the date, especially if you're not online all the time.

If the title could be edited even time it's updated (eg Diary thread, updated 12th October 2007), that would be even better, so we'd all know when to go and look for new stuff.

    Thanks

    Kat.

    Great suggestion Kat. Big Smile

Jules, I totally agree about the post-it stickers, I have an added problem, my cat keeps running off with them, I found one hidden in his basket this morning.  Big Smile

Great idea Laureen. debbie already contacted me and the other Mods to ask what we thought.

Just wondering....do you mean a "new" headliner called "Temporary Diary" or just a new thread called that ??

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

I thought a thread on Wet Wet Wet/The Band that we could sticky and lock, as it's about TV and radio appearances, etc.?

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

I know I mean a thread rather than a brand new forum.  Just something that you, one of the other mods, or the admins could unlock, add a post - or edit one - and lock it again.

Is there an annoucement button or something that would make it always the top thread within a forum?

    Thanks.

    Kat.

Yes, if I make it an announcement, that won't allow replies.

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

Thank you Wil, and yes, I meant the same as Kat just said above, this would really help to keep track of things, I don't really care where it is, as long as it is easy to find, I can't keep up at the moment.  Big Smile

    Re: Temporary Diary Thread

Yeah, I was just thinking about something like this yesterday. It would be very useful at a time like this when things are so busy. Yes

Is it just a dream?, or am I just a dreamer.
