Wet Wet Wet to perform at charity ball near Dublin in late February

Gerald's Kean to unveil Lisa as a Palm Beach belle

    By Barry Egan
    Sunday December 09 2007

ONCE more unto the beach? Palm Beach, that is,

On December 27, Gerald Kean will be fighting them (off) on the beach. Why? isn't it obvious? December 27 is when he will unveil his stunning girlfriend Lisa Murphy to Florida's Palm Beach, where he has a home. And even by the standards of pulchritude of the Sunshine State, Lisa is spectacular, so Gerald will have to have his sword at the ready.

Their next-door neighbours in Palm Beach are Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, so maybe they can hook up and compare notes?

Ger's ex-wife, Clodagh, and their daughter, Kirsten, are heading to New York for the festive season.

Upon their return to Dublin on January 8, Gerald and Lisa will immediately start planning the charity ball they are throwing at Mr Kean's Wicklow mansion in late February. Wet Wet Wet (who else?) are headlining the night. There will be 30 tables priced at €10,000 each.

Gerald and Lisa's favourite organ, RSVP, is happily involved in the party. The Cork-based magazine named Gerald as Munster's Best Dressed Man recently. RSVP editor Paula Lenihan told me, "Gerald went home with a lot more than a beautiful hand-blown crystal 'angel' created by designer Stephen Pearce. He also went away with lots of new friends and admirers.

"The newly crowned King of Cork has charmed his native city with his wit and humour as well as his warm personality and easy manner," she gushed.

    Quite.

There is another mention of this at:

RSVP magazine (based in Cork, but distributed throughout Munster) is co-hosting a charity party at Gerald's Wicklow home in the spring and Wet Wet Wet are believed to be performing.

Don't think so Emma. I didn't hear anything about it here in Dublin. I'm sure there would've been a picture or mention in one of the newspapers or social magazines if it had.
