Wets at Mum of Year awards

Just been reading the Daily Mirror today  and the article about the Mum of the Year, Was interested as the winner is from Lincoln

Didn't know till I got to the end of the page that WWW were there performing.

Good write up about them and the "Timeless "Album and a mention of Marti's solo concerts and the Witches of Eastwick

Well done boys, it is for a good cause

Private or not - as a fan - it still would be nice to know what the band are up to now and again!

Come tell me all about it!

Re: Wets at Mum of Year awards

I think if you read the article the Mum's that won awards would not describe themselves "lucky" especially Jakki

I agree that all Mum's are special, as for letting the fans know of this event I think in this case we will forgive them don't you.

(sorry just had to let off a bit of steam)

Re: Wets at Mum of Year awards

My point wasn't aimed at the awards themselves, and knowing what happened to the winner before I made my post, I most certainly would be left in no doubt that she, nor any others who were nominated for an award felt lucky, and having worked in jobs where I regularly came into contact with victims of crime and tragedy in many situations in the past I knew of the delicacy of the subject and they most certainly deserved to be honoured in the way they were, and treated to something special.

The point I was trying to make is by attending the event I think it's a wonderful thing the band did, and I can understand they may not wish to steal the limelight from the true stars of the show on such a special occastion, however I still don't see why every now and again, as fans, we can't be told about some of the good they are doing, or simply what they are doing.

I could go on a lot further here, but I won't - okay - that's my rant over.

Come tell me all about it!

Re: Wets at Mum of Year awards

I didn't mean anything bad when I put on....Lucky woman that were there...... I just ment lucky becasue they saw The Wets on stage. When I typed that I didn't know what it was all about untill someone put the article on.

I think its a great thing The Wets did with performing for them and I hope all these incredable ladies had a wonderfull night.
